A Musical Evening
We are in consultation with various orchestras in the area with a view to staging a concert featuring a small group playing a programme of popular classical music. No dates have been agreed yet, but we are looking at June or September. Watch for further announcements.

The Friends of Thundridge Village Hall
The committee is pleased to announce the formation of "The Friends of TVH" who met for the first time on February 7th 2008, eight people turned up to discuss how they could assist the committee in running events, keeping the hall tidy and generally helping out in maintaining a successful and thriving village hall. There are thirteen members so far and if you would like to join this happy band ring Barbara Hall on 461463.

Sponsored Walk
Every summer the committee organises a sponsored walk to raise funds for the hall. Well, that's the excuse given to have a stroll, to meet up afterwards for a cup of tea or a glass of wine and a good way to enjoy an afternoon. This a family affair so Mums Dads Kids and Dogs are all welcome.
The event is normally held in July so when a date is set it will be advertised here, in the TVH News and the Parish magazine.

New Year's Eve Dance
There once was a time when villagers would queue around the block to get tickets for the Thundridge Village Hall New Year Eve's Dance!
The advantages are obvious: no driving, minutes from home and inexpensive compared to hotels, restaurants and even pubs charging for entry!
The practice lapsed, but Reg Wright believes that it is time to revive the tradition and is prepared to organise the event if there is enough support!
